Scott Freeman reports: One of the largest and certainly
the strongest ever Coulsdon Rapidplay ever saw 68 people battling for
the £400 prize fund in the latest open event. The good weather may
well have helped people stay indoors today (!) as CCF handed out the end
of season quickplay grand prix trophies.
No less than five players shared first prize in today's 6 round event
after an incredible set of results in the last two rounds and a few surprises
along the way. There were no fewer than 5 players with grades above 200
and a total of 10 that were graded above 190, yet none of the 200+ players
walked away with a prize, which were won as follows:

The Coulsdon quickplay grand prix prizes were won as follows:

These players receive half priced entry into next year's quickplay and
blitz events. Paul Jackson and Joe Xuereb recorded doubles having already
won this year's long play grand prix events.
